The Maindustry HAPU COOPERATIVE FOUNDATION for Hapu development is pleased to inform Hapu katoa of the unique opportunities for self determination for Hapu Maori. There are over 50 Hapu who are now registered as Hapu cooperatives and are learning to develop the cooperative system as an instruction guide under the industrial provident societies Act 1908. Common law used by many APEC countries.
The initiation was a submission to the Hui Taumata held in Parliament in 1984 by Mr Gerrard T Otimi and since then he is now proud to offer the availability of a Maori infrastructure and economic base which you can drive your self through the all maindustry web site and links at your own leasure to see what others are doing. Maindustry tm is a balanced trade mark infrastructure and a unique concept for a recognised standard to identify and determine what is general industry and what is Maori industry called Maindustry.
An ideal situation is where all industry training organisations are identified as ITO's gives a great importance for the protection of Maori taonga, a Maori economic base working in conduction with Government Departments in partnership or with the Crown.
OHCS has been the back bone of this whole development process and has since 1993 been involved for the concerns for the protection of Maori Taonga (standards).
Our experience since ITO's were introduced made OHCS well aware that NZQA could not qualify Maori standards in Maori kaupapa, training both of general interest, and of specific concern to Maori dimensions ie Whaiora, raranga Te Reo, and any other Taonga that needed protection from the system.
MMSQA will help Hapu on a wide range of maindustry are, there representatives, cooperatives or candidates and to those who have suitable skills and experience to identify the registration standards on this web site database. This is an excellent opportunity to increase Maori participation in representation for organisations playing a major role in training in the development of New Zealand's economic and social development. MMSQA would encourage you to read the attached information and to register your interest if you think your standards are, and have a suitable training ability. The information for standards held on the database will remain confidential and only identification classifications will be used as to the type of standards made available under the terms of consent.
Thank you for your consideration and wish you well in the furture for our future generations.
Gerrard T Otimi. Founder and inventor of the Maori framework Maindustry.
